You would think it’s hilarious, because to you illegal immigrants aren’t people going through tough times, they’re just pawns for your political stunts.

Is that what Wikipedia told you? 😂
most traffickers caught at the border are those with legitimate reason to cross. Legally. And a good portion of those are American citizens
No, that is according to Customs and Border Patrol numbers https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/drug-seizure-statistics
Here are some more facts:
39 percent of Americans and 60 percent of Republicans believe, “Most of the fentanyl entering the U.S. is smuggled in by unauthorized migrants crossing the border illegally.” A more accurate summary is that fentanyl is overwhelmingly smuggled by U.S. citizens almost entirely for U.S. citizen consumers.
…
*Fentanyl smuggling is ultimately funded by U.S. consumers who pay for illicit opioids: nearly 99 percent of whom are U.S. citizens. [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6968850/]
*In 2021, U.S. citizens were 86.3 percent of convicted fentanyl drug traffickers—ten times greater than convictions of illegal immigrants for the same offense.
*Over 90 percent of fentanyl seizures occur at legal crossing points or interior vehicle checkpoints, not on illegal migration routes, so U.S. citizens (who are subject to less scrutiny) when crossing legally are the best smugglers.
The location of smuggling makes sense because hard drugs at ports of entry are about 97 percent less likely to be stopped than are people crossing illegally between them.

*Just 0.02 percent of the people arrested by Border Patrol for crossing illegally possessed any fentanyl whatsoever

Instead of complaining, these "liberals" should open their homes to the illegals that they claimed to have wanted so much. All these places went on record declaring they'd ignore federal immigration laws and let the illegals stay. Well, a tent on the sidewalk won't cut it - these Democrats need to take a few into their own homes and support them.

@MrBrownstone MV: "We just don't have the room!" AirBnB that week: "Enjoy life on MV in this spacious home!" The rich Democrats could've put the illegals up in this available housing and picked up the tab. But that's not exactly what they did.

Here's a home on MV that sure looks like a few spare rooms were available. But its occupant - Obama - did nothing to accommodate the illegals.

No. The Republicans are in control of the house where any bill starts!

Start shipping them to Blue states and blue cities where they’ve yet to be sent en masse. People will experience what NYC, CHICAGO, El Paso, Eagle Pass, Tx have and still are experiencing. Send bus loads to Delaware, let Joe’s fellow citizens deal with massive numbers of illegals.
Your government and the current administration does not care.
Very likely this was long in the planning.

We need to fund this as policy. They show up over the border in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico and then we immediately ship them to Democratic "sanctuary cities"
They want them there, they can have them.

@SumKindaMunster ""New York is built on the hard work and determination of generations of immigrants, and we will continue to support those who are trying to build better lives for themselves and their families," Governor Hochul said. "Today's investments toward critical services for immigrants sends a clear message to all: New York welcomes you and celebrates you. I look forward to continuing to provide immigrants with the tools they need to be safe, secure and set up to succeed in our great state."

No, the complaint isn't that they're illegal immigrants living near us. It's that they aren't being made legal so that they can work. And you can blame the Republicans for that, because they want cheap illegal labor.
BohemianBabe · M
@sunsporter1649 Deflection. I'm fine with deporting migrants that have a criminal history, but that's the minority. Most of them just want to work here. Should we have them do nothing at the expense of our social programs? Or should we let them get legal jobs that way at least they're contributing to the economy?

Illegal immigration has little to do with the border. The vast majority entered the USA legally but overstayed their visum. No wall or border patrol is going to stop that.
