@RainDropsandRoses best do some good planning. Retirement is often overlooked until far too late to do it properly

@ViciDraco Unfortunately, too true. Best advice I ever got was from an uncle who said you should put 10% into retirement savings/investment no matter how hard you think surviving paycheck-to-paycheck is. Think of it as a dime out of every dollar, and think how many dimes you throw away on crap you don't really need or stuff you shouldn't be eating or drinking anyway. Even when my paycheck didn't quite cover the mortgage and we were struggling to get by on my wife's paycheck, I socked 10% into the IRA which was matched by my employer. And when things got better, I maxed the IRA deduction. Been living off that for more than 2 decades now.
