Now I have a New Friend that I never expected to have

so, listen to this story

at the start of the pandemic
when businesses were allowed to reopen
everyone had to be guarded and masked up

so, this heavyset women would come in
and I would kid around with her and all
while everyone else would totally ignore her
we kinda bonded
I liked how quick witted she was
I could also tell she has very pretty eyes
anything at all that I said, she immediately picked up on

anyhow

about a month ago (five years removed)
she shows up again, only I don't recognize her initially
because
she's lost a ton of weight
plus, she's no longer masked up and guarded
and she comes up to me with this look of recognition
exception, I don't recognize her
it takes me about two days to mentally sort it out
once it all clicks
I approach her and tell her all this
She's to the moon
ever since then
When I see her
she comes by me and thanks me with her eyes as she smiles and greets me
for I was the only one who knew
who she was

be kind to everyone
because you never know what they are going through
