what kind of compliments do men like to receive?

Real ones ....kinda like us.

But then you also have all different types of men, just like us: shallow, sincere, desperate, egotistical, strong , fragile .

So it depends upon the type of man to what type of compliment he likes .

And some, just like some women, can't handle compliments very well and it makes them feel uncomfortable.

We are not so much gender as we are personalities ....and personalities differ .

@OogieBoogie I like compliments but I don't think they are gender specific. Maybe when women compliment me on being a hard physical worker, I suppose that could be masculin.

@JimboSaturn Personally , I think compliments are best when they 'fit the person'.
I mean generic ones are good like ' you look good today' or maybe ' you did an excellent job'.
But when they are tailored, that's when they can REALLY mean the most. It means someone has noticed your particular effort, or a particular skill, or a particular trait that is specific to you .
Even if it's as light as " that shirt always looks good on you", or "you put just the right amount of spice in your lasagne'.

But it's the really personal ones that click.
Sometimes the smallest ones that hit home the most .

It seems most men like compliments that support their masculinity.
