Happy Birthday Loser
It’s my birthday this Saturday and I’d made plans to spend it in London with a friend. It’s her birthday on Friday and we bought tickets to see My Neighbour Totoro. I’ve been looking forward to it for months. Last night she told me she’d forgotten about it but now couldn’t afford to go. The show is paid for and I offered to cover the hotel. She said she’s working now to earn extra money instead.
I understand life can be difficult at times but is it really possible to forget plans for your own birthday??? I should be use to it at my age but it’s hard to ignore the rejection twisting in my gut.
It’s going to be almost impossible to find someone to take her place this late 😢
