What is someone to me if they are the daughter of my non blood related uncles sister?

MaryJanine · 61-69, F
Your uncles' sister is your aunt. Their children would be considered your cousins, or if you prefer, double first cousin or first cousin once removed.

That's how it works in my family. My "Uncle Tom" is actually my first cousin once removed. His two boys are my second cousins. His mother was my grandmother's youngest sister, making her my great-aunt."Aunt Susie" (now deceased) was his first wife, making her my first cousin again.

if you know them personally they're an acquaintance.

No direct relation of yours, he/she is your inlaws family

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays not really. If I'm right lol because that was off the top of my head.

At a family Réunion when I was a child there was around 200 relatives. One I went to school with who was in my class and I didn't know there was any relation. So I sat and thought about those things for a long while lmao to work out how the f I was related to someone and not know 😂 (while I was also doing scho work, I have an odd brain)

You can do ‘em, if that was the question.

Either you or a cousin
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut or it means that her father's brother is adopted, that's what i thought, since it says he isnt blood related, even if its through the mother or anything else
yotebtrius · 22-25, M
@HannibalAteMeOut My aunts husbands sister is the one with a duaghter
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@yotebtrius then this husband is not your uncle, unless adopted... uncle is a brother to a father.. your mother's sister's husband is your father's adopted brother... and therefore that makes them... your mother's sisters children? hence your cousins?idk man im drunk

Something like a cousin once removed (maybe twice removed — I can never keep that stuff straight).
Brothers best friends grandmothers 3rd cousin four times removed?
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
A friend? Or an in law of your family?
