So this single mother of four kids does delivery for a major app and she frequents my shop often. A week ago her car broke down in the middle of the parking lot. While some guys were trying to jumpstart/move her vehicle out of the driving lane, I went out to check on her. It was hot outside and her kids were sitting in that hot car so I told her she could bring the kids inside and I'd watch them. When she finally came back inside, I asked about the car and she said the battery was dead and she didn't know what she was going to do because money was tight and delivery was her income. Told her to wait a minute, went to the ATM, and pulled out $120 and gave it to her. She insisted she would pay me back but I told her it was worth it to make sure her kids were okay and not to worry about it. Cried, hugged, and we parted ways when her mom arrived. Haven't seen her since but I hope she is well.

My mom can’t walk. When dad transfers her, she wraps her arms around his neck and he stands, bringing her up with him. Then he hums and sways like they’re slow dancing as he turns her and helps her down to her new spot. It is the sweetest thing to witness. I hope the pain subsides quickly. 🤗

I landed back in the States about a half hour ago. I'm now waiting for an Uber to take me home where I'll find my girlfriend quietly sleeping in my bed. Her gorgeous long dark hair will be splayed all over the pillow and she'll be softly & slowly breathing. My head is a bit chaotic right now but I know the moment I lay eyes on her and hear her soft breaths, all will be right with the world; my demons will have been smited.
Last night I saw a bald Eagle perched in a pine tree. You may need to zoom in but he is there. Quiet, strong, beautiful, a protector and a predator. Always watching.

Something real and true. A long time ago, I met a woman I loved upon first meeting her, she was pregnant with someone who tried to keep her this way by making her pregnant. He had made others pregnant without paying support, he was a very narcissitic man who found his way into Canada for how well he could perform ballet, and found a way to not be deported for how good he was at ballet.
It was not our time together, and never would be, but I offered if she wanted to keep her child she could look towards me. She ended up having an abortion, requested him to be there, for she needed him to see his actions.
I understood.
Years later, after many lives lived together her and I fell apart. She never made herself in a place where she could have a child, from being a perpetual University student (still is), when we broke up, maybe a year later she meant a man with children? I cry inside myself in a way, for I did love her, but we would never have children together, and leaving her was hard for how intimate we were, but there is a part of me that cries when I think of her now having children she always wanted.
I call that a real and true story. It brings me a smile thinking of her with a child.

How about I tell you a story instead that always makes me and my daughter laugh.
There once was a family who had 9 children, a MEAN ol' rooster, and a large hill behind their home. Growing up, they didn't have indoor plumbing and had to use the outhouse. Every. Single. Time. one of them would have to use the outhouse, that mean ol' rooster would chase them and try to flog them.
Well one day those kids were outside playing, taking turns rolling down that large hill in a tire. One by one they'd go rolling down that hill sooooo fast! Until...BAM! One of those kids rolled right over that mean ol' rooster!
And then they had him for dinner that night and that mean ol' rooster never flogged anyone ever again!
Aaww...🫂 I have spent countless hours in my yard this summer, under the watchful sun and clouds, working and nurturing. It has brought me a bit back to life.
Just look at the bright beauty of these and let it soak in, soothe you... sitting there growing just for us, our pleasure.

I got in contact with one of my younger 1/2 sisters on Thursday, we haven’t talked in 24 years. It is going good so far. ☺️ Whatever is hurting you…sending big hugs! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
