I don't do the killing part. But I've done some butchering and meat cutting.

How can we coexist with cows and pigs?

I have no issue with killing animals for food or eating meat. But what I really hate is industrialized farming to the point where chickens are bred to be so fat that they can't stand on their legs without breaking them and shit like that. My cousin owns a farm and he doesn't treat his animals like that, but it sucks knowing that some large-scale places do.

They don't feel a thing. I used to work at a pork processing plant in the late 90's with the sanitation crew, the kill/evisceration line supervisor told me they put sensors on a pig to gauge pain response when hit with the bolt gun, the needle didn't even move.
