Do you have 63685 recipes saved on IG, Tiktok, FB, etc. and never make them? I've made a few, but I CONTINUE to save more recipes. WTH is wrong with me
I have an old-fashioned file with my recipes coated in plastic sleeves. I make most of the stuff in there, but there are probably about 20 things I've yet to try.
I have saved very few. If I do look for a recipe online, I will find several, and read them to get a sense of consensus, and then possibly improvise a bit on my own.
@Starsaligned 🤝… but I took it further… started out with saving recipes… tons… made a few… now downloading cookbooks…😅😅😅 Its some … recipe disorder or something
Not all online recipes are created equal. I can look at the ingredients on some of them, and tell, from that, whether or not I will like them.
After EP went under, I printed out all of my personally created recipes, or those I had altered so that the tastes pleased me, and made a booklet of them. I actually do refer to my book now and then...but most of my recipes are in my head.
As a semi-retired caterer/catering consultant I don't often save recipes per se - I like to create my own - but I do get digests from the likes of Great British Chefs, Meatless Mondays etc, and I'll save the whole digest if the theme seems interesting.
It's not just you... The main point is while you may never make that particular dish, you often give yourself incorporating a technique into your own style
I only save the ones I'm going to make. Then I copy them in to Google Keep so that I can easily get at them on my tablet and phones even if they are offline.
