Excellent Lentil Soup with Hot Sausage
1 (15 1/2 oz) can lentils, drained
3 cups water
1 heaping tablespoon Minors Chicken base
1 teaspoon, heaping, dried chopped onion. (I ran out of fresh onions)
1/3 cup chopped spinach
1 hot Italian sausage, baked and then sliced.
Bring the water to a boil, add chopped onions and Minors chicken base. When the water begins to boil, add the lentils, the spinach and the sausage.
Bring to a boil a second time, and the reduce heat and simmer on low for about 20 minutes till everything is cooked.
This is really good! Serves 3 to 4 people.
