The very best Pizzas in the world?

Ignoring made at home pizzas, what's your favorite pizza restaurant or take-out?

In the Kansas City area it''s Spin Pizza or Pizza Shoppe.

Spin is a double winner because they serve great salads. Make that a triple winner because it's also a great atmosphere ..

Frank Pepe's Pizzeria in New Haven, CT. The best in the country! #1 according to USA Today!

@OverTheHill Haven't been there in a long time, but Pepe's would have a line out the door on Friday and Saturday nights.

@OverTheHill Hmmm ... about $500 for air fare to there and back, plus another $100 for cab fare, $40 or $50 for a pig-size order? Hmmm???

@Heartlander Well, if you are ever on the east coast it is definitely worth the visit. I used to live outside New Haven, and was grateful to be able to have eaten there.
There's a place here called Upper Crust Pizza. It's expensive, but if I gotta have pizza, it's worth it.
Stobey's. Downtown London, Ontario, Canada. They make them while you wait. Have those round carousels filled with all kinds. A huge piece can cost around $7.00 My son can only eat one. Same as me. The best.

@PoetryNEmotion This reminds of another great local place, Papa Kenos, also that sells by the big Alice. I think friends of our kids own it. Keno's is like pizzas you find in college towns, which are always good. College town foods belong in their own separate category :)

Original pizza is one of the kids favorite.
We have to go to oak park mall to get it so we usually make a day of it

@Cigarguy101 Thanks. Will have to try Original Pizza now. :)

@Heartlander its new York style pizza. They sell it by the slice and pie

I am not and never have been a fan of New York style crust. Instead, I absolutely love deep dish pizzas. The best I ever had was at Pizzeria Uno.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou We loved UNO. There were 2 locally, one nearby, but a few years ago they just packed up and left town. They were very popular with lots of traffic, so go figure?
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander It was the same in this area. We heard they just weren't making enough money.

Rome for me, so far
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Elessar hmm...I'd have thought Naples, didn't pizza historically come from there?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@basilfawlty89 Yes but I've never been to Naples yet!
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@Elessar Florence was great. A Napoleon.

This small local chain own by Italians from NJ ...they make tbe best sauce
My favorite place was DownTown Portland, Oregon, called Rocco's, but I moved out of state 25 years ago and heard they had a kitchen fire in the mid 10's that trashed the entire interior.
