Wake up, stretch, drink hot water, make my breakfast, clean my house, make the bed, feed the dog, read the news, do a survey, get on here, do my daily chores, make breakfast for the hub, clean up again, make the hubs lunch, do the garbage, vacuum, laundry, etc😐
Wake up, make bed. Go to the Jim. (I call the toilet Jim, It's not my fault if people get the wrong idea.) Make a Coffee. Let the dogs out the shed, drink the coffee on back porch with mutts. Come inside and make another coffee. Then let the shit show begin.
The first ten minutes of my day is almost always spent talking myself into doing a workout. It’s honestly a great note for me to start on, but the initial motivation can be blah. Then there’s the morning tackle from the dog. Music. Shower to really bring the internal awakening. Coffee. Tidy up the house after the guys had a late night. Then I sit and catch up on writing/socials/current events. The day is up in the air after that. That’s the norm because a routine provides comfort for someone like me. But other times scratching it all for some spontaneity is really where the feel goods can be found.
My department just moved to a different campus from the place I worked for about a decade. I'm having to come up with a whole new get to work routine and I'm not loving it.
@SW-User thanks. I'd say I am surprised at how resistant to change I've been, but I guess I know myself too well. I didn't even want to move to another floor on the old campus.

@Starcrossed we had to relocate to a new building as they were renovating ours. That changed my commute some and threw me off for a few weeks.
Must have music playing, I get my top half dressed and walk around in panties and my uniform top, make my lunch (etc), then put my work pants on minutes before I head out the door.

@Jeephikelove business up top and party down below?! Hehe
I have a morning routine. It helps a lot, especially on days I’m stressed or feeling depressed, and don’t know where to start. Having a morning routine is like an anchor in a storm.
Yup Groan, stumble to the kitchen tap or coffee pot for liquid. Turn on LED lights so my eyes can adjust , and sit there while my two neurons decide to start circling ....and I turn up the LEDS. Somewhere between finishing my coffee and peeing I become some semblance of a bipedal sapien and get dressed for work .
Somehow putting on my work clothes helps me switch into gear and become a fully functioning person - and do the finishing touches of clean teeth, do hair, sunscreen and some makeup .
This is all timed in such a manner that it's straight to work and get stuck into it , Coz if I have even a second to think about it - I won't wanna go .
