Living on a rural farm I just get up and walk over to the kitchen door, open it and they run out. They know where they can go and not go to like the road as I make my coffee and get them a treat ready. So, no walking or issues here. I do leave the kitchen door open and close it when they come back in too.

Of course! He was a good boy and held it all night, so he comes first in the morning.

I walk them in the evenings around 9pm. One of my dogs doesn't get along well with other dogs.

No. I let her out into our fenced back yard. I walk her late in the afternoon or after dinner.

I have a fenced in yard…first thing in the morning I just open the door while I make coffee, lol

Fortunately, I have a big backyard that's fenced in, so I just let them out the back door and then they come back in to eat haha.

Fortunately I have a fenced in back yard I can let them out in while I make my coffee.

@SumKindaMunster our dog only uses the yard when ill. I’ve never understood it.

@Starcrossed my dog has kept my step count high but now he’s getting so old. We barely do a block.

@JovialMoose awww poor pupperz. It's hard seeing them slow down like that.
I remember when we had to stop jogging with our last guy, and then his last half year he couldn't even make it a block with his cancer. 😟

I do walk him every morning. The problem is that he doesn't like his feet getting wet. 🫤

When I had a Chihuahua, he’d start yapping to go out bright and early. I had his leash by the door; he’d pull it down and bring it to me.
I’m not a morning person, wasn’t then, so one time I just rolled over, thinking "just a few more minutes…"
He was a smart little dog. I had a stack of magazines in a corner. He pulled one down and crapped on it. Then he got back in his dog bed.
Going forward, when he needed to go out, I took him.

@bijouxbroussard Our dog is kinda like that too. He doesn't ask to go for a walk unless he needs it. The few times we ignored it (because it seemed too quick) he was sick and we found out the hard way.

No.
The Jack Russell Terrorist needs her beauty sleep until later on. I have to get up early.
