Oh yum! That looks so good right now. I've been staying away from most "comfort foods" lately and eating a lot healthier. But, wow, I crave stuff like this now.
@sarabee1995 Someone here was recently waxing poetic about Mac n’ Cheese, so a craving came up. I put two servings aside and packed the rest up for my middle sister and her family. 😊

Looks pretty good, bijoux.
I prefer unbaked, saucy mac n cheese. The baked with crumbs leaves me underwhelmed. Always dry. And always overcooked.
@Carla I loved baked Mac n’ cheese as a child, but this is just from the pot. 😊

@bijouxbroussard i can tell..

I once made homemade mac and cheese.

Our young daughter said she liked Kraft better.

That was the last time I tried! 😂
@DrWatson I understand. Kraft was always a hard act to follow, as a child I preferred that, too ! 😄

@bijouxbroussard And in all honesty, what I came up with was nowhere near as good as what I had eaten before, prepared by other people.

It’s never basic when it comes sprinkled with love

True story
Looks good. What’s your recipe?
@Notladylike Thank you ! Pasta elbows (I use lower carb), cheddar cheese soup, shredded cheddar cheese, a sprinkle of pepper.

I don’t know 🤫
@Cassandra902 What do you mean ?

How do you make your cheese sauce?
@Jenny1234 From scratch, I prepare a basic roux of butter, flour and milk with onion powder, adding shredded cheddar and Colby cheese.
But here I cheated; I used a can of Campbell’s cheddar cheese soup and shredded cheddar cheese, light pepper.

@bijouxbroussard I don’t know anybody who’s ever made homemade mac & cheese
@Jenny1234 My grandmother taught me, baked or unbaked. She also had a recipe with pumpkin which tastes better than it sounds (you don’t taste the pumpkin, it’s just richer).
