Oh I see you know I had that where they sent me a bill and they said what your insurance provider didn't pay for it so I wrote out the insurance provider and sent it back to him then they called me and I said "Hey if they're not paying for it what makes you think you're going to get me to?"

they never called back

windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Montanaman You can get a good dry cake with a good filter press and a knowledgeable operator. I work with a lot of industrial wastes which are harder to dewater.
Montanaman · M
@windinhishair Our plant has been in service for a year and we produce axlot of good cake. Maintenance is the challenging part of the job.🤪
Operating is relatively smooth so far. 👍
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Montanaman Excellent. Shakedown and early and ongoing maintenance is key to good performance. Keep lots of spare parts! One of the facilities I work with was constructed in 1980 and had a nominal 20-year life span. We are at twice that now and can't get parts. Lots of things work only partially and/or poorly, and they are reluctant to put in a new facility, so we continue to limp along.

Streaming television. Before this, I worked for a major TV network for 20 years. All told, 34 years in television.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@uncalled4 ohhh i thought that was you saying you u sit around and watch netflix now lol
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@foldedunfolding No. It used to be that TV was distributed mostly by satellite, and cable companies could "tune in" and receive the signal. Now, many networks never hit air at all and just go from computer to computer, essentially. There's tons more to it than that, but that's the basic gist.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
