Apricots for the win, but a large amount can cause massive levels of flatulence. So I'm told.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
Almonds, walnuts and cashews.

@cherokeepatti I got it from Costco and it’s a good snack along with dried mix nuts when we have to spend long hours on the road. 😀
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Eyeinthesky ginger is a natural painkiller and anti-inflammatory and also a blood-thinner just like aspirin. Need to be careful with the candied ginger because it’s very easy to over-indulge it’s that good. You could thin your blood too much & have a bleeding brain stroke. I started craving ginger 30 years ago after developing rheumatoid arthritis. Those snacks sound really healthy.
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
@cherokeepatti thank you for that info. I’ll take just few bites in the car. 😊

Dried apples, apricots, and pineapple
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User I have chopped it up and put it in fruit salad. Also thought it would be good chopped and put on white icing on a pineapple cake. And candied ginger would pair up good with pineapple in a fruit salad or in yogurt.

SW-User
@cherokeepatti That sounds absolutely delicious!! I'm gonna give that a try!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User You can find candied ginger at Winco in the bulk bins if you have one nearby. The price is not too much and you can buy as little as you want to try it out. I think they have dehydrated pineapple as well, they offer several dry fruits in those bins.
Raaii · 22-25, F
there are so many here
I also get a lot locally, I've no favourite fruit but one I think now is peanuts
Sorry I know it shouldn't be here but I like it the most too

One day in junior high when the math teacher went to the lounge for most of the class one of the boys brought a bag of dry apricots and passed the bag down each row and we all got one and chewed on them slowly for a snack. It was a really good healthy snack.

Me too! Preferably "Blenheim variety."
Trader Joe's used to label their Blenheim dried apricots as such; now they just call them "California" dried apricots.

I think cranberries now. Can bake with them. Am going to make gluten-free biscotti, muffins and cookies with them soon.

Yum! Dried apricots are quite tasty, as are many dried fruits.....as long as they don't have all that added sugar, huh? lol
