I don’t appreciate that, either. They should at least taste the food before deciding it needs something.

@bijouxbroussard Im here to twll yoj anythjng I cook, is probably gojng to need salt because I beleieve people should add their own salt and salting during cooking instead of after makes no difference.
@MethDozer I understand. I don’t require much salt, and I tend to add other spices that make it less necessary.

So I understand how that would feel. I've had someone do that to me.
My partner doesn't like sauce or anything and only likes the gravy the meat is cooked in but he doesn't thicken it up so It tends to just be chicken juice for gravy.
I got bored of that so I added tomato ketchup to my plate simply because Is always the same flavours and I just need gravy.
He got so upset with me... But I wanted more than just oil.

@Mellowgirl if someone isn't making something you like, then they need to take you into consideration. If I knew the other person liked things one way and I liked it the other, I'd do both. Like, watery gravy for me, and thickened gravy for you. Takes very little time to whip up and makes your dining experience better!

@FoxyQueen I think you are a hospitable person. He likes to think he is but there are many times where's it's proven that he isn't. Well at least where I'm concerned.
He used to only cook the meals the people in his home could eat, no creamy pasta no lamb. Consequently he was eating the same meals and very dissatisfied with his diet. When he met me I was a bit more open minded so we broadened his horizon. When I moved in he reverted back to his old ways only cooking what they'd eat or if I cooked something different than they'd eat , tell them they had to sort themselves out. But the foods he cooked he didn't budge. It came as is.

@Mellowgirl That's when I'll just cook for myself and he can fend for himself. Life is too short to eat food you don't like.

That's so true ..but sometimes it just comes out

I kinda agree, but theres is also some things I just know I want lots of pepper on.
Mac and cheese for example. It just isnt right w
No matter who or how it is made without tons of black pepper. That sajd I was raised to always taste a dish before adding salt.
@MethDozer My brother really likes pepper on his mac’n cheese, too. When I’m preparing it for him only, I add a lot, but when he’s sharing the container with Pop, I add much less.

@bijouxbroussard its the only way
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Agreed. Usually done without thinking, but no less rude for that.
i promise to never do it!
Saage · 31-35, F
I always tell people "taste it before you add salt" 😅
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
Maybe they like them in excess?
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Prettybratbi1tch then they can cook their own meals lol
even worse if they do it after they taste it 😂
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@StygianKohlrabi Not really. At least then then, they aren't potentially oversalting, making it unhealthy to eat
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
People just know that with condiments it’s better
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Ferise1 Some people are wrong 😁
