Single people, are you good at cooking for yourself?

ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
I rarely cook anything anymore.

Unless I have someone coming over. Two nights ago I made dinner for my mom, my sister, my niece and I

Roasted yams, cucumber and chick pea salad, and barbecued pork chops.

It was deeee-lish!!!
But I won’t likely cook again all week now 🤷‍♀️

I cook from scratch and not out of box and few recipes.
ThomReidTheBlack · 41-45, M
Yes. I trained as a cook professionally years ago.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Yes, I am. No Gourmet, but I get compliments when friends and hunting clients come to my farm to hunt.
Yes I do it quite often
SimpleKiwiGirl · 51-55, F
Yes.

I do a great cheesecake (multiple flavours, several with alcohol). Or a delicious coffee/cherry cake. With custard and cream.

But, then, there is also real food. Trifle. Chocolate, butterscotch and coconut. With strawberries or raspberries.

Very good!!

Yes....though I'll cook, prepare and serve it better when cooking for others.

Don't know why but my mother paid me a compliment.
Out of the blue She said, "you cook better than ( brother's name )", I was left speechless.

Decent. Mostly vegetable based dishes. If I’m eating any meat other than chicken or salmon, it’s at a restaurant
I learned how to cook as a child. My paternal grandmother believed all "accomplished" women could cook, sew, were well-read and could play musical instruments. She made certain that my middle sister and I were well on that path, but didn’t live to meet our youngest sister.
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
I can cook but cooking just for one doesn’t appeal so I buy ready made meals
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
What do people think I multitask.
