First one, "pastelito criollo" a kind of very traditional regional puff pastry, filled with sweet potato candy or quince candy.
The 2nd one the "torta frita", is an also typical pastry, fried and somehow simmilar to Spanish churros and other "pan fruits" (crispy outside, spongy inside), frequently sprinkled with sugar.

i might make it for my mother but i'm not a fan of oatmeal! bah its dry and not nice at all!

@popmol these aren't dry like oatmeal cookies .
I wish I could make you some , they are really yummy .
I made oatmeal cookies once and I didn't like them - they were rather tastelss and sorta too oaty . The golden syrup in Anzacs makes all th difference .

But they ARE sweet .
I've not made them in years .
