Which is the best gift from South America to the world?

Chocolate 🍫

Chocolate is a food made from roasted and ground cocoa beans that can be a liquid, solid, or paste, either on its own or as a flavoring in other foods. The cacao tree has been used as a source of food for at least 5,300 years, starting with the Mayo-Chinchipe culture in what is present-day Ecuador. Later, Mesoamerican civilizations consumed cacao beverages, of which one, chocolate, was introduced to Europe in the 16th century.

I do like chocolate i can say my life has been better for it.
Chocolate is wonderful; I don't disagree. For me it's not really dessert if it's not made with chocolate.

However, potatoes also came from South America (Andes mountains) and they have fed many tens of millions and kept them from starvation.

Corn also comes to mind.

That's Meso-America, not South America in English. South America begins south of Panama. Best import from South America would be the llama.

Except for dogs. Chocolate kills dogs when they eat it.
