Do you forgive King Charles and Queen Camilla? For what they did to Princess Diana? I am a Christian and didn't realize I held a grudge

As a Christian I think I will forgive them now for if I were in their shoes I would want to be.

Well the victim was Princess Diana, it’s not up to us to forgive them for what they did to her.
The only thing that (we can prove) they did was to have an affair with each other - and, maybe that wouldn't have happened if the monarch at the time had given permission for them to marry decades ago.

Princess Diana herself was just as guilty of having affairs prior to her marriage with the King breaking down.

Do I forgive the King for officially naming Camilla "Queen"??? No... He gave his word upon the death of Diana - and he should have been forced to stand by his word. She should be Queen Consort or even Princess Consort.

@HootyTheNightOwl For what it's worth, it was QEII's wish that Camilla should be queen. And yes, if we're talking about affairs, Diana was just as guilty as Charles, if not more so.

Plus, let's not forget, Charles was in love with Camilla before he even met and was essentially forced to marry Diana.
@SW-User Why would it matter to Liz what Camilla was called??? She'd be dead by then anyway...

If you want to bring up affairs, then go right ahead... my main issue has more to do with the fact that certain promises were made to the British public upon Diana's death - promises that have by and large been forgotten.

As if it wasn't bad enough that the late Queen was holed up in Scotland at the time of Diana's death and practically required dragging back to London.

I agree with William and Harry staying in Scotland with the rest of their family - but she should have been in London, leading her nation and commonwealth through the grief of the untimely death.

Had you read my post properly, you would have seen that I said

maybe that wouldn't have happened if the monarch at the time had given permission for them to marry decades ago

And

Princess Diana herself was just as guilty of having affairs prior to her marriage with the King breaking down.

Did I not admit sufficiently that the Monarch did Charles wrong or that it was well known that Diana was also having affairs for your liking???

@HootyTheNightOwl Promises? What promises? And no, the Queen did right by her grandchildren and stayed with them. There was no need for her to abandon them.
I wouldn’t loose a wink of sleep if chuck and his horse pissed off for good

I’m American. He’s no more King to me than Burger King. It’s only a really sad pathetic story about a meaningless death.
Diana was no saint. She was famous for her affairs, just just played the media more effectively.

They were both adulterers all during Diana's marriage...and now King Charles is the titular head of the Church of England. It's old news...history...and I don't think there is anything to be gained by dredging it up. It's between King Charles and God.

Why did you raise this?
saintsong · 41-45, F
@Zeusdelight The odd thing about it is that I'm able to forgive people in my real life friends family strangers and so on, but It never occured to me that forgiveness extends to Royalty, celebrities, politicians and so on too.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@saintsong Only when somehow it personally affects us. Sometimes, we get riled by their behaviour.
saintsong · 41-45, F
@Zeusdelight yeah, I felt it it didn't sit well with me I was surprised with how I felt and thought of How Jesus has forgiven me of all of my sins so shouldn't I. It's really bizarre never realized it before.

I felt terrible the day she died, I even remember how I watched it on TV... cause I really liked her but no grudges....shit happens
exexec · 61-69, C
King Chuck is my cousin, and I have forgiven less famous cousins for worse things. i tend to forgive easily.
InHeaven · F
Ya, let go of all grudges. When someone holds grudges Holy Spirit can not dwell in them

And what did they do?
saintsong · 41-45, F
@SW-User I don't want to gossip or judge about the past, it's over and done with it's gone! and if they believe in Jesus like I do they have been forgiven by the blood of Christ.
SW-User
@saintsong so in other words, you have nothing. Fine goodbye
She was an embarrassment to The Crown and buh-bye
SW-User
They all drove her crazy ...they were all awful to her
