I sometimes quite like being alone in a bar. A seat next to the fire and decent wifi and I’ve no reason to move. 🙂

YES. Sitting at the end of the bar so that the creeps will leave you alone, eating your hamburger and trying to mind your own business, and then a bar load of creeps comes in, and the main creep sits right next to you and pointedly asked if you "LIKE THE PICKLE". Big smirk on face.

Thankfully the bartender was also a woman, and she came over and asked me if I wanted my check and gave me an out.

I was once the only single person at a New Year's Eve party.

At midnight, everyone had someone to kiss....except me.

I have spent time alone in bars, by choice, and I was just fine with it. I would strike up conversations with others.

I often pop into our local pub for a coffee and a muse in life. If I found it "depressing" I wouldn't do it.

I don't think it's depressing I prefer it myself just me and my thoughts and a nice cold beer

Maybe if you wake up in the bar all alone and realize you missed the last call..

in the distant past, i went to the picture house alone, it didn't bother me.
