Yes I'm awful. My wife no longer buys biscuits because I just scoff them down. Normally chocolate digestives or chocolate hobnobs

ArtieKat · M
I am largely allergic to caffeine so I've been drinking decaff coffee (ground and made in a cafetiere) for nearly 30 years, and decaff tea for about 15 (loose leaf made in a teapot). Then I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes nearly 10 years ago so I have to limit my intake of biscuits :-(
meggie · F
@ArtieKat i make anzac cookies for my diabetic friend and replace sugar with sweetners. They are like half cookie and half muesli bar and very yummy. I do add toasted pecans too. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/anzac-biscuits
@meggie I like Ice VO Vo’s

@mossyboots You must have a very sensitive palate! I have two friends who own a boutique roasterie in Liverpool; they both worked for a largeish coffee importers before they set up their own company, and import their beans from all over the world. In a blind tasting one partner fooled the other with their decaff - the quality is that good!

The tea I drink is manufactured by Taylors of Harrogate (owners of Yorkshire Tea) and I really can't tell the difference.

A common occurrence with me Mossy. When I am in the office I go through a pack of whatever biscuits take my fancy, then work it off on site. I have the middle/old age spread, but it does not seem to get any worse.

I got pretty addicted to apricot jam filled lebkeuchen (possibly spelled wrong!) from Lidl over Christmas and I was going through them at an incredible rate!!! Fox’s crunch creams are very dangerous when drinking tea as well!
Lugwho · 61-69, M
I've given up biscuits and coffee, or taking a break anyway. I've certainly eaten a whole packet in the past. Jammy Dodgers and Fig Rolls are the most likley.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
I dont drink any hot drinks often ever so often i may have tea but its been over a year. But i love Biscoff they are delicious.
meggie · F
I love Yorkshire teabags and have a few times dunked a whole packet of custard creams in my tea 🐷
mossyboots · 51-55, FNew
@meggie Oh custard creams! I forgot all about those.
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
I love Hobnobs but only a couple at a time, they're the best dunking biscuits, I dunk them until the bubbles stop then devour 😍
mossyboots · 51-55, FNew
@RodneyTrotter1 I love the chocolate covered ones too!
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@mossyboots Me too, I usually buy the Aldi version because they're exactly the same so i can then afford more beer 🫢
nevergiveup · 61-69, M
I had to stop getting biscuits when shopping as when i had a cup of tea i would have around 4 biscuits and i was putting on a lot of weight
mossyboots · 51-55, FNew
@nevergiveup It does become a bad habit, and it's hard break.. I'm not sure I want to .. yet !
nevergiveup · 61-69, M
@mossyboots I am diabetic and keeping my weight down and sugar intake has to take priority for me
sp1dwoOfe221 · 36-40, M
pretty much any box o' lil debbies is a one-shot deal kinda thing afaic, whether itz 6 zebra cakes or 12 oatmeal cream patti pies. Opening up a second box afterwards is where the shame sets in, especially if someone's in the room just watching, eh..

IM5688 · 70-79, M
I'll admit it. I'm addicted to my nightly ritual of Oreo cookies, (anywhere between 8 and 10 cookies,) dunked in a glass of ice cold milk.
Teslin · M
No, I definitely can't say that I have.
Are they good ?
mossyboots · 51-55, FNew
@Teslin VERY!
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I ate four hobnobs in one setting once -it was the first time I ever had them, being an American.
StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
haha
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Neither a dunker nor a cookie addict here. The occasional sweet is typically a dessert at a restaurant.
rachelsj · 22-25, F
A sleeve of cookies
Thinkingdeeper · 36-40, M
Not a tea drinker but prefer the chocolate variety. Very addictive
TexChik · F
2 Grands Flaky Layers is about all I can eat
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TexChik I think he was talking about cookies (British).
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
No. I've come close but never the whole pack.
Lostpoet · M
Never had them
Convivial · 26-30, F
Sounds like an addiction 🤣
mossyboots · 51-55, FNew
@Convivial It is a good one!
Convivial · 26-30, F
