Pizza

I understand what you’re saying, but I’ve been in phases of my life where I’ve had to resort to buying the $10 belt and I’ve been blessed enough to be able to buy the $300 one and I will say that there’s a huge difference between the two…mostly longevity but you can also tell the difference in quality alone. But it all comes down to personal preference whether you find it’s worth it to pay more for the dining experience, time, and quality ingredients that go into fine cuisine on a special occasion or if you have a favorite local pizzeria that hits the spot on a Friday night after a long week. They both can have their place in one’s life.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart you are totally correct. Not even sure why this came into my mind this morning, prob saw a pizza commercial on TV. And re the belt I can tell the difference after a year or two because the leather or fake leather starts to crack. Just doesn’t really matter to me. Keep an eye out for my future rant on how annoying and unnecessary ties are. The only tie that stood out to me in last nights awards show was Kevin Hart’s because he wasn’t wearing one!

Classy cuisine and pizza are not mutually exclusive. There is, however, a huge difference between the $8 Hawaiian pizza from Domino's and the $25 Fungo Doppio Zero pizza.
I don't eat steak, but there's also huge difference between the $19 chicken and shrimp special and the $55 sea bass at Ruth's Chris.
And I'm not being picky. It is what it is.

@4thdimensiondream I'm not too lazy to wash my own dishes.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@RockinPop54 wife cooks I do dishes! Not a big deal but sometimes bringing in a pizza works for me!
RockinPop54 · M
@4thdimensiondream OH! Believe me, I'm not saying we don't bring home a pizza or cheesesteaks now & then, but for the "fancy" dinners, either she cooks & I clean up or I cook & we clean up.
My wife is partially disabled, so I o most of the heavy lifting when it comes to the chores.

Well...not really. I love french cuisine. I've had Chateaubriand with planked pototoes, and escargot...and it was so freaking delicious I can't even describe it. Sure...it was basically steak and potatoes...but the way it was prepared was sooooo awesome!
One of my favorite foods to make on a charcoal BBQ grill used to be Filet Mignon au Poivre au Provencal. Sinfully rich...served flambe with cognac lit on fire, and the fire drenched with herb butter.
I like pizza. It's okay. But it is not STELLAR.

@4meAndyou you were not my target audience! lol. Thanks for the great comment!

There’s a lot of factors involved. And I’m not picky about most things. But sometimes the cheaper is just good enough or better sometimes not at all. And pizza can be made so many different ways no matter the cost.
BeJeweled · 61-69, F
I have pizza about once a year. Best food is homemade in my opinion. Yet I got gift cards for fancy restaurants for xmas this year and last. One of them over a year ago but plan on going eventually. Just not big on expensive restaurants would rather go to a buffet instead.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@BeJeweled life without pizza I can’t even imagine. Are pizza restaurants prevalent where you live? By me there’s a few within every 2-3 miles.
BeJeweled · 61-69, F
@4thdimensiondream I do have one we go to, Frankie's Pizza. Always order their pesto veggie pizza 🍕

I have been treated to some really expensive dinners over the years. They were delicious, but I had trouble enjoying them, knowing how much they cost. Still, if we are celebrating our anniversary, we are going classy...within limits.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I like both. I'm a foodie, but pizza is my absolute favorite.
bijouxbroussard · F
It depends on my mood, tbh. I love pizza, but I’ve been lucky enough to have some really awesome gourmet meals, on occasion. My palate understands that I would probably not appreciate them if I had them every day.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard that is pretty much how it works. Too much of anything good will eventually not be so special. Thus the beauty of pizza! I don’t want it everyday but every few days I can have a slice or two!
rinkydinkydoink · M
Classy pizza! Best pizza ever was an extra tomato sauce, double shrimp P-Wee's pie 🤤
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@rinkydinkydoink I’m still calling classy pizza …pizza! Yours does sound like it would work for me? Where do you find that kind of pizza?
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@RockinPop54 what’s a tomato pie! Sounds too fancy lol!

Pizza or burgers!!
I'm no "fancy cuisine" kind of guy!
I'm simple, basic & a cheap date!! LOL!

@RockinPop54 I am not alone! lol.
RockinPop54 · M
@4thdimensiondream Nope! If I want a good steak, my mother taught me how to cook one the way I like it! So I make one at home! It's a LOT cheaper than in the restaurants!!
Likestoenjoylife · 51-55, M
Not a huge pizza fan but love greasy hamburger places lol
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Likestoenjoylife I almost mentioned a hamburger! Nothing better than a bar/restaurant burger (well done for me - hockey puck!) with fries of course.
Penny · 46-50, F
Im not much for pretentious food either. Youre just gonna shit it out lol in the end. But healthy food is important like organic when possible, no unnecessary additves/preservatives...
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Penny I do believe you but I made it this far eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. I never was too interested in cooking f it was healthy or not.
Penny · 46-50, F
@4thdimensiondream well, foods nowadays are a lot worse than before. please do be mindful of ingredients so you are around and/or healthy a lot longer :)
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
Thanks for caring! No promises but I will try and pay attn more!

i'm not picky if it's fancy or not fancy as long as it's made well and kosher
MethDozer · M
Honeysly 9x out of 10 I'm at praised fine dinning establishments I'm left extremely disappointed and unimpressed. The best food has throughout history been the food of peasents.
Lugwho · 61-69, M
I'm not a fan of pizza. Anything before pizza.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Pizza all day.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Zonuss a little early but you are leading contender for Best Answer!
Musicman · 61-69, M
I definitely love bargains. I am not into expensive.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Musicman sure but my point is I think actually prefer the pizza to the expensive fancy dinner.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@4thdimensiondream I straddle the fence on that one. I actually like pizza and a real meal. Plus being pre diabetic I can't have those carbs of the pizza every day.
