Classy Cuisine or Pizza?

I’ll take the pizza any day! Anybody with me? I’ve never been impressed by fancy foods whether it’s a steak from Ruth Chris, I’m fine with Applebees or Outback, or even ice cream. You can keep your Haagen Dazs I’m fine with a no name store brand. It’s probably just who I am. I think I once posted here (or EP) how I couldn’t tell the difference between a $300 leather belt and a $10 one.

Classy cuisine and pizza are not mutually exclusive. There is, however, a huge difference between the $8 Hawaiian pizza from Domino's and the $25 Fungo Doppio Zero pizza.

I don't eat steak, but there's also huge difference between the $19 chicken and shrimp special and the $55 sea bass at Ruth's Chris.

And I'm not being picky. It is what it is.
@Northwest I won't eat "Dominoes" or "Pizza Hut" & I won't even be in the same building that serves fish because the whole place STINKS like fish! And THAT'S very NAUSIATING to me!

@RockinPop54 Not a Sushi fan, huh?
@Northwest That would be a HUGE "NO!!!!!!!!!"

@Northwest does Ruth’s Chris has a $19 special or am I misunderstanding?

Applebees top dish may be $19. At Ruth's Chris, you may be able to get a 2-shrimps appetizer for $19, but expect to pay in triple digits for a steak dish.

I only end up there for business dinners, and don't like it, but they have a great seared tuna steak, in the $75 range, a la carte, but I much prefer gettin the tuna from Costco and searing it myself.
@Northwest For THOSE prices I can feed 7 people & still have money left over if I cook it myself!! And I DO know how to cook! An I LOVE to do it!

@Northwest I’m looking at a menu right now. I do see a $20 burger, that is not bad at all
@4thdimensiondream Sorry, for a burger I won't spend more than $10!
I won't go to those overpriced "fancy" restaurants just to get ripped-off because of the "ambiance"!

@4thdimensiondream I can see they have a 10 Oz $20 burger which is, yes, not bad. This is the average price for a 7oz burger around where I live (not fancy places). I can always order an seared Ahi burger for less than $25 in the chain places.

@RockinPop54 around here you can’t get a decent burger for under $15 and I’m not talking fancy but not fast food either. Even a Big Mac and fries has to be close or more than $10. But a pizza pie is close to $20 now too.
@4thdimensiondream That's why I am perfectly happy with buying the supplies, cooking it myself & eating in my own kitchen.
MUCH cheaper & FAR better!

@RockinPop54 I hear what you are saying. Some days though I want no mess in the kitchen!
@4thdimensiondream I'm not too lazy to wash my own dishes.

@RockinPop54 wife cooks I do dishes! Not a big deal but sometimes bringing in a pizza works for me!
@4thdimensiondream OH! Believe me, I'm not saying we don't bring home a pizza or cheesesteaks now & then, but for the "fancy" dinners, either she cooks & I clean up or I cook & we clean up.
My wife is partially disabled, so I o most of the heavy lifting when it comes to the chores.
