I'm going to risk sounding like an old man for a moment but what's up with the young crowd and energy drinks?

I'm always seeing the teens and 20 something year olda running around guzzling energy drinks. First time I tried one it was 2009 I was at the woodward dream cruise and there was a stand giving out free rockstar energy drinks. I took one cause it was hot as hell out and I was thirsty. It was nasty. Years pass and I get given a free energy drink can't remember the brand. Drank half gave me bad heart palpitations. Can't do the damn things.

Did you get your bp checked since then??? I can't drink them anymore because I have high bp... and, looking back now, those palpitations were the first sign I had.

I don’t deal with those anymore, usually too much sugar, and even the sugar free ones are generally loaded with caffeine.

new ones taste like soda. I get em at Dollar tree and drink 2-3 per week. i prefer the ones with trace amounts of coconut water or lemon juice. what's with regular diet soda? it's garbage.

@buriedalive the normal cup of coffee can have 50-100 mg of caffeine, that depends on volume as well.
