Welcome to America ! Hell yes bacon and eggs for breakfast
Pambie · 22-25, F
@justbob I don't live in "America" though.
justbob · 61-69, M
@Pambie Poor you ..oh and sometimes pancakes too!
Pambie · 22-25, F
@justbob Poor me? I'm thankful I don't live there! 🤣

fun4us2b · M
I think it was originally to promote the idea of a large breakfast to provide enrgy for the day...which it is very rich in protein and low on calories if you don't add bread & butter or potatoes...it used to be very common - but less so these days...
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I also couldn't believe it until I actually tried it and it works. It just has to be late breakfast, like 9-10 AM not 6-7 AM. 😅 Before I couldn't imagine eating even an egg for breakfast but now I make myself a fried egg once in a while. Not very often though.
Yourwildestdreams · 51-55, M
Sounds artery slamming good 😅.
Mostly I use eggs for cooking and baking . Fruit is my go to for breakfast of course and I love lots of cereals ( good whole grains)
After all we are what we eat 💁🏼‍♂
Adrift · 61-69, F
We used to have bacon, eggs and pancakes on the weekends as a family breakfast when I was young.
On weekdays it was usually a bowl of oatmeal.
Call me crazy, but I tend to have dinner cereal for breakfast and breakfast cereal for lunch. Muesli for special occasions, like Christmas morning or Hanukkah or Kwanza. I’ve never heard of bacon and eggs. Is it something one eats or tosses in competition?

@justbob @Pambie I also believe in Santa Claus, and want to believe in the Easter Bunny, but am having a hard time with that
It's somewhat of a traditional breakfast in the UK. Not to say that people will have it every day but it's very common.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Yep, common where I’m from
Breakfast and even for dinner
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
We certainly do, you cannot beat a "full English breakfast"

Pambie · 22-25, F
@MrAverage1965 Oh okay, my mistake. Yes, if you had that for breakfast you wouldn't want lunch, or anything else for the rest of the day.
LeotardWearer · 56-60, M
@Pambie Amazingly low in carbohydrate and the effect of high protein/low carbs sets the body up better than cereal in the morning. I couldn't eat one every day and I am too lazy to cook it. Lets see who works out what the round black items are :-)
acpguy · C
@MrAverage1965 That explains why you folks there smell so bad. Those beans would make anyone fart all day. Do you people blame the cows for global warming then?
acpguy · C
Bacon and eggs are the greatest for breakfast here in the USA. But here we are normal as we aren't hanging upside down.
Pambie · 22-25, F
@acpguy Well, from our perspective, you are the ones who are upside down.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Bacon and eggs is a staple at many breakfast restaurants in the U.S. I tend to prefer a breakfast of sausage and eggs myself.
HobNoblin · 36-40, M
An American breakfast. Very common I had it yesterday.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
Come to England..have it as a treat, not everyday,but sometimes the full works,with sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes,baked Beans,toast,you name it,we'll eat it!!
Pambie · 22-25, F
@HotPizza71 No thanks.
LeotardWearer · 56-60, M
@HotPizza71 And Black Pudding sometimes ! OR in Scotland Haggis
come2gether · 46-50, M
Bacon and eggs is the normal breakfast for many Americans. 5am bacon and eggs? Yes!
Pambie · 22-25, F
@come2gether So what should I use as a baseline instead then?
come2gether · 46-50, M
@Pambie history
Pambie · 22-25, F
@come2gether Yeah, nah.
I don't eat either but I see a lot of people who do...
DHggmu · 31-35, M
On Sundays I cook a full English, bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns and toast, usually more of a brunch than a breakfast.
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@Pambie I try to make it about 11/12 so it’s more of a brunch :)
acpguy · C
@DHggmu 🤮

Yourwildestdreams · 51-55, M
@TigerLili 🤔
What does it not have to do with being an American ( USA) ? Most unfortunate we’re sharing this continent as of late 😌

TigerLili · 46-50, FVIP
@Yourwildestdreams you should keep your hatred of Americans to yourself
I've heard that some people have bacon and eggs for breakfast. Is that actually true?

🙄
Teslin · M
Eggs for breakfast, absolutely. And bacon or sausage thrown in every now and then.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
In the UK and the US (I think)
Lilymoon · F
Yeah although I prefer sausages and eggs with home fries 🥳
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Lilymoon That's a perfect breakfast for me, too.
oogirl · 13-15, F
Of course 🤤
TexChik · F

Pambie · 22-25, F

SW-User
It's part of the Full English breakfast!
496sbc · 36-40, M
i only eat bacon and eggs every so often
It's the only thing my wife likes about living in Canada
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
Bacon , fried egg, sausages, black and white pudding and more!
Umm... yeah. Are you from this planet?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@MsSwan In many countries, breakfast is customarily a lighter meal than what we are used to.
@DrWatson And I've heard of that because I'm from this planet.
ironborn · 51-55, M
Proper English breakfast, with a cup of tea of course.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Seriously?
