Do you refrigerate your butter/margarine or keep it on the counter?

I live in a hot climate and my wife freaks over non refrigerated dairy. So it stays in the fridge. Fair enough b/c my doc says I need to cut back on dairy.

I only use margarinium which lives in the fridge

Growing up it's always been in the fridge but my current gf leaves butter on the counter. I thought it was weird at first because I didn't know you could do that but it makes sense & I like it better

I put it under my armpit to melt it

It’s in the fridge on the door…there’s a spot made for it with a see through plastic door. I keep the cream cheese there too.

@Vin53 🤔can understand your point but we keep ours in the fridge as if it is hot the butter may go rancid

I didnt know you could keep it out like that.. I'll take it out to soften it for recipes or use margarine.

Keep butter in the fridge, but take it out before using for a few minutes to soften..

Margarine in the fridge, if I happen to buy some and butter I keep on the countertop.

Butter in fridge. If you leave it out it starts to taste sour after a while 😝

I hate butter that went too soft and its flavour became stronger. If I'm going to eat it on my bread, I want it from the fridge.
