Tuna in oil, or water? 🥪

The correct answer is oil, you heathen.

Oil is best.

Neither tuna is disgusting
Torsten · 36-40, M
neither. Fresh tuna is the only way to eat tuna
@Torsten I created my own signature orange dill sauce when I was about 14 or so.

@NativePortlander1970 impressive at 14 years old. I have never tried dill sauce before. Crazy since i used to be a chef but yeah never tried it
@Torsten Thank you. My Dad started teaching me how to cook at the age of five on my birthday in 1975 with pancakes, I have been a serious home gourmet since, and even used to cook for a living, these are my most prized possessions.

My calibratable oven thermometer.
My digital kitchen scales and their calibration weights. A 50g for creating seasonings, a 500g for general use, a 2Kg for heavier ingredients, and a large platform 5Kg for bigger bowls.

Tuna doesn't swim in oil, it swims in water. So, water is obviously the natural way for it to be packed after it's harvested.

Ew water! Unless Im cooking something with it then oil.

Blue Fin Tuna

Fresh, pan seared, cooked rare like steak.
Nothing like canned skipjack which is usually crap in a can.

Water! Drain and press out, drink the water, add EVOO... save $2 USD! ☺️😋

Water only. And it has to be dolphin friendly
Thevy29 · 41-45, M

Oil, the water strips the tuna of its nutrients during can sterilization.
