Never thought I'd see the day McDonald's does layoffs cause their hiring sign is always out

WillaKissing · 56-60
OMG! How will our Americans maintain their girth! 😬
4meAndyou · F
@Astro And Wendies! 😂
Oster1 · M
@4meAndyou They all will go down! McD's, is the Mac Daddy! Most people have NO MONEY!

McD's, is the canary in the coal mine. Let the Radical Left, eat cake!!! Demons, always fall from grace!!!

@4meAndyou taco bell
calicuz · 51-55, M
It's actually a shame when a country's economy is tied to something as useless as fast food.
calicuz · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti

Yes, the Root Beer and the Onion Rings for me. 🙂
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti @calicuz I think we still have three in the State
calicuz · 51-55, M
@MarineBob

Yeah, I think there's still one on 40 hgwy in KC.
Wow. Did inflation make Big Macs and Happy Meals too expensive?
WillaKissing · 56-60
@BizSuitStacy Oh, yes and the $15 to $20 an hour wage the workers wanted to make a high school/college kids' job and adult paying one.
@WillaKissing a good friend of mine, who is politically clueless and liberal, started complaining that the minimum wage hikes would make fast food too expensive. I mean this guy was really hot under the collar about it. Knowing that I'm a conservative, he thought I'd join him bashing the minimum wage thing. I just laughed. All he could think about was his Big Mac was gonna be too expensive. It didn't dawn on him how many small businesses would go under leaving people unemployed. The only way some people are going to wake up is when it kicks them in the ass.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@BizSuitStacy Absolutely in the ass and wallet.

Walmart is taking many customers from traditional fast food establishments with their deli meals for $5.97, including an ample serving of protien and 2 sides. People are raving about this unmatchable bargain on social media and trending more every day!!! One popular option is 8pc. boneless chicken wings. McNuggets, CANNOT compete. WM has superior food infrastructure, already in place! Believe me, this is an historic move that that will go down in Business History and how they will overcome the present economic condition!!!
Oster1 · M
@calicuzYour thinking is very rational and correct and I agree and willfully pray for a turnaround on this matter.............BUT:

It can be said that every Fortune 500 Corporation, plays this same role!

This is the TRUE DEFINITION of Fascism, regardless of how many here, define it!!! 😊

@Oster1 The deep fat frying oils are not healthy even if they are fresh…canola, soy, corn etc. GMO’s and too much Omega 6 in them. That’s bad enough but after frying one batch of food in oil and reusing it, whether keeping it in the fryer and hot all day long or reheating the next day is dangerous to health. It creates free radical damages in the body, can unravel DNA. My daughter had lupus at a young age & had to learn not to eat that stuff, even fries from a restaurant. We’d make them at home, slice up fresh potatoes, coat in oil & bake them till golden.
Oster1 · M
@cherokeepatti I could not agree more more! Seed oils are very bad for us, for all the reasons you mentioned. I only use EVOO and Avocado Oil.

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has another.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
You know what, this really doesn't make any sense at all.

McDonald's is the busiest fast food of them all, with the exception of one here. One half hour wait on drive thru right now. Out of about 60 different fast food places in town. We literally have them all here in this little valley. In fact there is three, probably four, McDonald's in this valley alone.

Fewer employees they will limit their own business, because of the wait time. Customers will go elsewhere.

@Fungirlmmm Very interesting! I will researh this! There are so many APP deals and I'm a flip phone user. This makes sense and intriguing , to me. I will research further!!! 🤗❤️😘💐
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@Oster1 Speaking of phones.... today is the 50th anniversary of the first mobile phone call ever made.
Oster1 · M
@Fungirlmmm WOW, a very interesting bit of nostalgia, pertaining to our conversation!

Heard about that this morning. All management staff to take 3 days paid leave...at the end of which time they will tell them which of their number have been laid off. Everyone must be sweating bullets.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Like i said the other day all these companies that are having financial woes all make huge pilitical donations.
Tminus6453 · M
It seems joes inflation is pricing even the poor people out of buying goyim slop... or its another case of being woke/going broke
So, they're going to do the layoffs virtually? Yuck...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@BrewCityBarfly Soulless way to do it.
What’s wrong with this picture?

Heartlander · 80-89, M
For a long time I believed that McDonald should split in two or more divisions to better posture themselves for different customer bases.

In lots of small towns and old neighborhoods they have become like the town-square diner where old folks gather for coffee and to sit and chat. And for them it seems like the wrong menu and service arrangement.

They are also the dependable stop-over place for travelers looking for a (usually) clean restroom and a quick bite.

For the rest, they need a better hamburger.
calicuz · 51-55, M
Get ready for the big "reset!!!"
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@calicuz notice how all the companies laying off is making big political contributions?
calicuz · 51-55, M
@MarineBob

Yes, it's all a game to the 1% and The Social Elite who run the economy.
Oster1 · M
I saw this last night. People have been complaining about price increases for months now. I've seen so much of it. The price/value metric, has crossed into the abyss. McDonalds has been woke for decades and must now, conform to their foolishness. The radical left has never had a grasp of Economics 101, nor World History 101. Fools will always be foolish!!!
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Fast food in general may be on the way out. Per my random checks, by the time you add taxes and tips it's pretty close to $10 or $12 per person. And to see the "Help Needed" signs in practically every fast food place, the prices are going to be even higher.
Just a reminder…

They rolling these out everywhere

MarineBob · 56-60, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout McDonalds that insists their ice cream machines machine be connected to the internet
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Wait, they have offices? What?
CestManan · 46-50, F
There ain't hardly nobody working in those places anyway, who exactly are they planning on laying off? I mean you can't really get rid of something that's not even there
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@CestManan it mainly concerns the bosses
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
What’s “Planned Layovers”??
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Quimliqer whoops should have typed Layoffs.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
that is weird.
