What kinda bread is this lol

So i went to my Aunt's house last night to shower and change clothes and eat a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. And i actually thought this was a joke at first. I mean i dont think I've ever seen this brand before. Im positive i would remember it. Maybe it's just sold up north.

"Bimbo Bakeries USA is the American corporate north-of-the-border arm of the Mexican multinational bakery product manufacturing company Grupo Bimbo. It is the largest bakery company in the United States. The company, headquartered in Horsham, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, owns many fresh bread and sweet baked goods brands in the United States, including Entenmann's, Sara Lee, and Thomas'. It is also a top advertising sponsor for many major soccer teams around the globe."

i used to buy that honey wheat brand and pour a little honey on it with some cinnamon and frozen berries and then i'd fold the bread in half and eat it like a breakfast taco.
SW-User
@Lostpoet yeah but what about the Bimbo soft white kind? Have you ever had Bimbo bread?
Lostpoet · M
@SW-User No, when it's my choice of what i eat i always eat super healthy like wholegrain boring shit.
SW-User
@Lostpoet i eat the wheat bread too.
I’ve seen it in many stores. It’s pronounced “Beembo” but it’s still a funny name regardless.
SW-User
@stratosranger i dont think we have it at home
@SW-User I have not seen it down here in the south either
SW-User
@stratosranger yeah thats where i live.

Bimbo is actually a huge bread manufacturer, they have other brands as well but roll up under the bimbo corporation. I work in the grocery industry and once we got Bimbo credits, it made me laugh
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
Well, she knew that you would want a PB&Jelly sandwich, she wanted the best bread for you.
SW-User
@TheOrionbeltseeker thank God for Sara Lee. 😜
It is from Spain I think. Last time I was there I saw that brand a lot lol
SW-User
@Ozymandiaz so my Aunt went to Spain to buy bread? 😏
@SW-User She must really like that brand 😂 It is American apparently but they sell it everywhere in Spain
SW-User
@Ozymandiaz she sure must cuz she had 2 loaves and they were both opened.😃

Lol there’s a Bimbo bread factory near my house but I’ve never seen the soft white bread lol
SW-User
@Jenny1234 really? What state do you live?
icedsky · 51-55, M
Its much better than the competing brands Floozie whole wheat or Skank Sourdough
SW-User
@icedsky lol im not sure about that.
eMortal · M
Bimbo, soft and white. Did you feel called out? 😅
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@eMortal soft, white, and airhead, I'm mean airy
SW-User
@eMortal no i assumed they were referring to you

@SW-User 😂😂😂
Ferric67 · M
Don't eat it lissa
Ferric67 · M
@SW-User what brand peanut butter and what type of jelly?
SW-User
@Ferric67 Jif and smuckers
Ferric67 · M
@SW-User I would have made it a bit more gourmet for you lissa. Lightly toasting your Ezekiel bread. Instead of jelly, I would have use local honey. I have artisan peanut butter, almond butter and cashew butter...I would have blended the three for you. Spritzing a dab of cinnamon for good measure.

One of the biggest bread producers in the world. Own many brands.

Growing up we were lucky enough to get our bread from a local bakery. It was brown and “sturdy”. Crap like what’s in your picture was referred to as “Bunny Bread” and I never got any as a kid. Bimbo bread sounds like a more apt description.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
The company is from the USA but it has its origins in Mexico apparently. It's also seen in Spain where I have eaten it many times. It makes great toast.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Bimbo has been around for many years. not in my area stores but some regions it's available pretty much anywhere.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Haven’t seen that brand in a long time, it is popular in Hispanic area grocery stores.
Lol .. I could soooo use a soft white bimbo sandwich about now ;-)
Be a bimbo and dough will come your way..
SamHarris · 31-35, M
Honestly, I’d take whole wheat bread any day.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
