Actually I would hate to be anyone famous because of all the dang constant inspection. Maybe that is why I live a quiet life in a log cabin in the woods lol.

Yeah, must be sooo hard for them. Where will they get away from it.....i doubt they can find a space in the trillions of acres of land they "own", 1/6 of total land mass of earth (technicality, its the crown that owns the land which is different from the uk royals) to get away from it all.

Right now, they have my sympathy as a family in their time of great loss, but no, I’ve never envied any of them. Being royal might have looked like a fairy tale once upon a time from a distance, but there’s no such thing as distance anymore. The number of articles I saw yesterday dissecting and speculating on the stupidest irrelevant details was an eye roll.

I’ve never felt I was missing out by not living under a monarchy or being royalty. Like many here I was interested in the UK’s Royal Family, but they’re not the only royals in this world, not even the only royals in Europe. They’re also a family and their beloved matriarch has passed away.

Their nation’s Queen, who ruled for longer than most of her subjects have been alive, is gone. They have my sincerest condolences and whatever the country needs to do to cope and transition to their next ruler is fine—and certainly none of my business.
