I believe you read my reply wrongly. I’ve never regretted having children.

The right age is around 22 to 26 so you have enough energy to bring up the kid also when the kids growing up your income doesn't start reducing put keeps pace with college etc that would happen if you had a kid later than 30.If you have kids early say late teens you miss out a lot growing up maturing up to handle parenthood ..
MyNameIsHurl · 46-50, F
I was 21 and no regrets. It was a lot of struggling and hard times, but Im stronger for it.

Don't regret it at all. My kids are 31 and 29.
I didn’t have kids early and I don’t regret it.
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
I was 30 and I wish it had happened sooner. I'd of had more energy.
SirAhmed · 31-35, M
Never regretted that for a second.
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
Had mine in my mid-20's. (23-27)
And although the relationship wasn't good with their mother think it was the right age for me.
They're now in their mid-30's with children and financial struggles of their own.
Now THAT i do regret.
If i'd known how hard having children and trying to work was going to be once they hit their 30's i wouldn't have had children.

Didn't have them too early, and no regrets. On the contrary, having kids was the BEST THING we ever did!!
LustfulMomma · 36-40, F
No not at all, I am very happy I was able to have kids early and I sometimes wish I had more.
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
I was well older than I wanted to be when our sons were born (I was 36 for our oldest)
exexec · 70-79, C
The first one came right when we planned, and the second was five years later than we planned. Both worked out great for us.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
I never want kids, because I know I would regret it.
I had my son at 32 . I'm glad we waited ...

I was 22 and then 23 seems early now-a-days.
But I don't have any regrets.

I was 41 and 45 when my two kids were born so the same question could be asked about waiting too long.
One should never regret it... Infact in my opinion it's good to have kids early, that gives you alot of time in life with them as you see them grow and by the time you are old, they are well settled.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I had my first at 18. Way too young and I definitely regret it. I Love her, don’t get me wrong. I just wish I’d had her 10 years later.
DragonFruit · 70-79, M
Never had a child of our own, just nieces and nephews....I don't regret it, though we would have loved to have been parents if that's what happened.
Sutten · 41-45, F
No regrets, things worked out the way it was meant to be.

Regret not having the money to properly spoil her.

I had kids 'late' but my ex's have both been 7 yrs younger than me. My first oldest was born in 1998 when I was 30, ex was 23 at the time. So it's kinda relative.
Women have so much pressure put on them through societal conditioning to have kids and it seems that pressure is basically relentless between the age of about 15 through to at least 30. My youngest daughter is 8.
My eldest who's now 28 has a daughter of her own who is nearly 2, but my other two older kids (26 and 24) don't have relationships and have no interest in that or kids.

I was 37 and my wife was almost 30.
So, it was not early at all. I have no regrets.

No if anything I was concerned we’d left it too late. It gets more dangerous for women the longer you leave it.

never had kids of my own but I was an uncle at age eight. I felt like I was too young to be an uncle.

Effectively, you're asking if people regret having their kids. The question of whether it's early in life or later doesn't matter, you're asking people if they regret the existence of their children.
To regret would mean to not have them, and I would never change that.
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
Yes and No. 🫤
Nate931 · 31-35, M
I hope people don’t regret that. Things happen, and kids often don’t come at the perfect time, but regretting them isn’t helpful. I became a dad at 29 in the midst of the COVID pandemic. I was the right age but it was not a good time. But that’s how it goes sometimes, and I certainly don’t regret anything.
Bleak · 36-40, F
It’s interesting how one person’s biggest regret can be another person’s greatest wish.
Ducky · 31-35, F
I had mine just last month and I'm 35. I wish I had him maybe ten years sooner, but that couldn't have been because I wasn't with my man then. It just is what it is. I'm happy anyway.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Yeah, but that was 36-40 years ago.
MySide · 46-50, F
The opposite. I hate that I had kids so late. First at 26, then 33 and 35. For me personally that was way too old. I know most people say that's good ages, but by the time I was in my mid 20s I had no patience or energy

I want to have kids via surrogate though.
At least one.
Just need a few more years to mentally be there.
I am an only child & when my MOM was 27+ I was born.

Heck no! I've spent my entire adult life trying to avoid having kids and so far, Plan 'A" is working out just fine for me! This time around it's all about ME!
