Im a mom of an 11 year old and am very affectionate with her and tell her how amazing she is. Are there any moms out there that are like me?

From a single dad's perspective telling your daughter she is amazing is a very good positive re-inforcement.

There need to be more positively affirming moms like that. I think many get run down by the stress of trying to survive by that point and forget the positive affirmations and instead become hyperfocused on the child being perfect so they don't have the same struggles, not realizing how much damage that much pressure causes young minds
