I kind of remember my parents use to throw away old toys we never touched around this time of the year.

I'm not sure it happened around Christmas at all, but toys did get thrown out. Imagine how our homes would have ended up if we kept them all.

No, never. Our old toys are still somewhere in our grandmother's house. Perhaps even some toys of my mother and her siblings might be found there. Only broken toys went to the trash but never at some specific time.

@CrazyMusicLover my parent's was going through old boxes awhile back. They found these old jon deer tractors and all the farming equipment toys I don't remember the story behind them but they look brand new. I guess my parents got them for my brother and he never touch them that I know of

My mom would make me sort through my toys to see what I wanted to donate. Sometimes I had lots of stuff and sometimes I had nothing I wanted to give away. And it wasn’t necessarily at Christmas. It was anytime of the year.

I remember .. my step mom throwing out a knock-off nintendo i had .. although it was knock-off it played well and was fully compatible with the games ..

My parents weren't big on gift giving... for any reason, so we didn't have but a few toys, and we shared and played with them until they were worn out.

[@smileylovegaming] 🤔 what a criminal waste if there was nothing with the toys why not give them too a childrens charity who can give them too kids who are less fortunate and have no games and toys at christmas
