When is a teen too big for a bedtime?

When they take their responsibilities seriously and do what they need to do without adult intervention, they are capable of determining their own bedtime.

I suspect the 'easiest' answer is while they're school age.
Parents are made responsible for their children especially ensuring they're ready for school each day they're there.

After that you're technically an adult (depending on what [i] that [/i] actually means since if you're in America you're able to join the army and learn to kill folk at 18...but your own state won't let you buy a beer)and responsible for your own recognizance

never. they just learn to set their own or suffer the consequences..

i used to be sent to bed at 9 and i knew once i get older i'd be able to go to bed whenever i wanted.... turns out it's at 9. (if not earlier)

Not while they are still at school. Teenagers need a lot of sleep and a little helping hand with the tricky weektime scheduling 🙂

When you show that you are responsible enough that you no longer need one.

When they're 18 and or move out from home.

What teen is a good girl or boy and never stays online later than what's good for them?

When I was young we had nothing to do on our phones unless someone called or texted. We had a timer when the internet connection shut off since we could stay up on our computers.

But you have your phone in to bed with you and it's a mini computer and you can easily distract yourself FOR HOURS
