I don't know if this might work and it may sound infantile but perhaps maybe childproofing the upstairs so she won't fall down or knock into anything if she sleepwalks. I know parents do that when they have newborns or toddlers, but that may work when Sissy is sleepwalking.

@Barefooter25 at the new house stairs won't be an issue. I'm still going to put the alarm on her door though. I've heard stories of kids walking out of the house and parents not even knowing 😞

Be sure there is a very secure gate at the head of the stairs. Does the new house have stairs?

I used to have a nephew by marriage who did that when he was little, all the way up to teenager, and then stopped. I do NOT recommend what his parents did. They locked him in his room at night. When I heard that I was horrified. Yes, I know there were stairs, but all I could think was, "What would happen to him if there was a fire?"

One of my kids used to sleepwalk. In fact, one night, she was about 6, I heard banging at my front door in the middle of the night. She was sleepwalking and trying to open the door but it was locked so she started banging on it to get it to open. She eventually grew out of it

@Jenny1234 I hope she will too

I use to sleep walk when I was younger.
