@Yulianna It really is. I think it's the reason my sister and I are so close. We never had to compete for our parents love.

@Thandeka Actually, it's a joke I often tell about my family and mum and brother know about it. :) In truth, after my *ahem* "dad" left us when I was 12, she brought both of up withequal love. :)

@Thandeka No. I wasn't told until she was in a nursing home and my wife and I were responsible for her care.

@Jenny1234 i had some behavioral issues at school. And wasn't allowed on the bus, and it was too far for me to walk, so they had to come pick me up instead of her. She had to walk home and she got hit by a car and she was killed instantly. So they always blame me because of that

Not really

My parents stay involved in his life and out of my life until they need something. There is no conflict. Just a quiet realization of how things are. They already know I won't marry a woman of their choice or continue their traditions since I did not study the stream of their choice, not enter the profession of their choice

@Thandeka No, she wanted a sibling when she was younger but then changed her mind, said she saw how it works with her school friends who have siblings, when it comes to the parent saying I can't just give you and not the sibling, she then said she prefers to be the only child.
