That really IS hard. My MOTHER was hounded by them, because she co-signed a college loan for my son's first wife...now ex-wife...and the ex-wife decided to stop making payments. My son decided that HE was not responsible, and told his grandmother NOT to pay it.
Kelly Ann, the ex-wife, was the product of a bad home...(daughter of a wealthy lawyer who lives in Duxbury...taught dishonesty from an early age, apparently).
By the time the debt collectors started hounding my mother, she was already beginning to suffer from dementia, and she would get on the phone with them and speak to them exhaustively, about how she didn't owe the money because Kelly Ann cheated on her grandson and got pregnant by another man! 🤣🤣🤣
Eventually I became executrix, and had power of attorney, so I took my mother to a lawyer and had him explain the responsibilities of co-signing to her. She appeared to understand...finally...and I was able to pay off the loan at $1000 a month until she passed away.
Horrible, horrible creatures, debt collectors! Almost as bad as ex-wives!
What I find difficult, personally, is saying no when someone asks me for help. Apparently I come by THAT trait honestly.
AND advanced mathematics!

I agree. I used to be forever making those hard calls to help people I worked with sort out finances, or get them out of financial scrapes. Mostly because they couldnt face making that call.😷

Believing in oneself, having good self-confidence
Searching for a job, making a CV, sending CVs and cover letters, contacting employers, advertising oneself... How tf am I supposed to sing my own praises when not even I believe it? How tf am I supposed to act like I want the job when I have no idea what exactly I am getting myself into?
