As expected, my mom was irresponsible to the end

She had nothing saved for her cremation, nothing to leave for her kids, and she refinanced her house so many times it's still not paid off in full. So we OWE now. And the funeral home won't cremate her til the cost is paid in full. 🤬

I told my brother to sell her car, sell her jewelry, sell everything he can to pay for the cremation, then leave TN and come to AZ.

I'm so furious with her. We told her hundreds of times before she was sick that we would not be able to cover the costs of things like this in the event of her death, but she didn't care. We asked if we could take a life insurance policy out on her and she refused. I know she's my mother but goddammit, she gave us nothing but trouble in life and I see it's no different in death.
