To cope, you can try:
Set goals. Consider what you want to achieve or learn, and what you enjoy.
Reconnect with others. Strengthen relationships with your partner and friends, or build new ones.
Find a way to stay connected with your children that works for both of you. Now you've got time to actually visit with them one-on-one and have the blessing of new experiences and even closer ones. You'll have that chance to take them out to dinner, just you and them, or go together to see a movie. You'll gain so much more than you'll ever know.
We could all use self-care. Engage in activities that promote your emotional, physical, and mental well-being. It's okay to seek outside help. Years ago that used to be frowned on but now almost everyone does it. It's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. You're giving yourself a gift. That little nudge that will help you get over that difficult spell. A therapist or counselor can help you understand your emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
You can keep your mind busy on other things that you enjoy like painting or whatever. Learn a new skill like playing the guitar perhaps. If you get lonely you can always give them a call and visit when you're both available of course. Remember, they are still, and always will be, a part of your life. That cannot be severed. You are all one in the spirit. It's just a little bit different arrangement but you can always plan to get together for various reasons.
You can look forward to new relationships through their friends or if they get married and even grandchildren... you'll have the blessing of sharing all the things you have learned that have helped your children, with your own grandchildren!
Do you know how lonesome people get in the nursing homes? Think of the beautiful gift of friendship you could give them and share things with them so that they feel important and alive again and that no one has forgotten them or abandoned them. What a blessing that will be for you both! There's so many possibilities. God has given you the special gifts to share and he will bless you for sharing them.
You are more important than she will ever know. There's so many ways to change your life, and others. You could even so things are crochet and give them to neighbors and friends. You might want to start a tea party haha. Even kids can get lonely. You might see a kid at the park that is sitting by themselves feeling lonely and go up and talk to them, brightening their day. When we give to others, it seems to be even more of a blessing to ourselves.

If they left it means they have confidence they can make it on their own. Things could be a LOT worse. You could be stuck with them forever, hanging onto you hoping you pass on so they can have all your stuff.
I know it sounds brutal, but I guarantee every kid has had that thought.
Now back to you.. this is your chance to travel, to do things you could never do before. What is on your bucket list? Pull one of those out and go hard at it. Have fun with what time is left.
