If someone ate from both sides of the casserole dish

Would this bother you? Sheesh. My husband is so sloppy in everything he does. I slave over a stove late at night to cook something good. I scoop out a small bit and tell him to make his own plate because the baby was having a bad night screaming and when I come back instead of continuing from where I have already scooped out he starts on the opposite side of the dish. Grrrrrrr it's just so messy. Shows lack of care imo
Just me complaining.I purchased some baby spoons that change color when hot. Wasn't too expensive maybe 15$ for 4. That was 4 months ago. Ask me how many I have left???? Only 1 because he is moving fast and throws them in the garbage can after feeding our son. Grrrrrrr

So this is probably what is going on with him.
1. Sometimes people have some dementia and memory problems and can't remember what was asked of them. Diseases, cancer, or being exposed to fumes repeatedly can create dementia.
2. Sometimes people have auditory processing difficulties and don't really understand requests,
3. Or sometimes people have attention deficit disorder and are impulsively doing things without thinking.
4. There are also personalities that avoid confrontation and instead are passive aggressive when upset with you. Phlegmatic personalities often respond passively.

I suspect he has one of those. I would just try to chuck it up to some brain damage and love him anyway. It's a blessing to have a family, no one is perfect.
@LordShadowfire nope, I just think men are coddled too much and held to a much lower standard than women for how they behave. You also can’t diagnose someone with autism over a single post.

If that's your main problem in life, you are one of the luckiest people on the planet. Geesh.

@REMsleep OMG How do you survive!!???
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@ChipmunkErnie Maybe you have never been in a similar situation but when you keep having to buy spoons and forks because your husband throws them in the garbage can I don't know anyone who wouldn't find that ridiculous.Thats my hard earned money buying those and I want them to match and be a good set.

@REMsleep My wife had dementia -- missing silverware is a smart part of how things disappear.

From the photo it looks like he’s gone for the middle not the opposite side?
@PhoenixPhail that’s grounds for divorce tbh
@666Maggotz For some people, it wouldn't surprise me.
@PhoenixPhail well yeah, we aren’t barbarians.

is he an aquarius?
I can't reply in the proper place, @REMsleep, so I'll put it here:

But there are thousands of casseroles, how can you dislike them all???

There are also thousands of fruit cakes.

'Nuff said? 😉🤣

I love a good wife. Just don't make casserole. Ever.

@come2gether Haha ok well I am sorry for your bad casserole experiences but I love them. I don't just throw anything together. To make flavors better I often have to cook fresh ingredients separately and then make a sauce and place them all in one dish. I am not using leftovers or using canned items. It's basically just a one dish meal but OK
I will not try to make you eat them 😂
Penny · 46-50, F
@come2gether why are you prejudiced against casseroles?? lol . do you need the plates with dividers so your food doesnt touch?
Penny · 46-50, F
omg what a monster!!! lol im half kidding but serious too lol. who would do that?? nightmare lol

My bf is like this too, it is by far my least favorite quality about him.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@DearAmbellina2113 Well before you commit to forever beware that it probably won't improve and year after year it is extremely grating.

I'm having a deja vu moment here. I feel like I saw this exact post months ago 🤔

Not accusing you of anything, just sharing my thoughts here.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@BarbossasHusband Wasn't me. Before last week I hadn't been on this site for months.
come2gether · 46-50, M
@BarbossasHusband it's just gross in my opinion
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Personally, I'd worry about the thought process of someone who starts from the MIDDLE of the casserole and works outward to the edges.

Maybe ask hubby to slow down a bit and communicate with him…it sounds more like little pet peeves that you are letting get to you…BUT maybe if you communicate (not in a mean way) but just share with him how it makes you feel and hopefully he adjusts for you also ask him if there are things about YOU that could be better to make it a two way street. :) good luck
I found with my own husband it was a game of " if I crew up enough she wont ask me to do it again"

@allygator18 If you spent 2 hours cooking while your baby was screaming and then someone cut into it all crazy making it so messy it might bother you after a while. You probably just never been in that situation before.

@REMsleep If that's the worst of your worries, I'd recommend quit squabbling over insignificant issues. Ever heard much ado about nothing? Plus maybe he's like me. If my wife makes baked mac n cheese, or any other baked dish, I like the crusty edges. And especially the corners. If that means going to the oppodite side, so be it.
