Is it possible to form a relationship with someone who plays the harmonica ?

I knew a friend who made an absolute fortune playing the banjo. Well, he didn't actually play it: every pub he went to, they had a whip round on condition that he went to another pub!! 🤣

This joke is not mine - A man desperate to get rid of his banjo parked his car in the roughest part of town, put the banjo in the boot which he left unlocked. 3 hours later he returned. His car was completely vandalised, no wheels, no driver's door, steering column ripped out, windows smashed and in the boot - there were two banjos!! 🤣

It depends on the who, what, when, where and why.

Who they're playing for. Are they playing for you or for them or for a crowd.

What type of music they are playing. Bluegrass, Blues, R&R, etc

When they are playing, (i.e. morning, noon, night, etc.)

Where they are playing, (at home while watching tv, or at a party, or on the beach.)

Why are they playing, to show off, to annoy others, because they can't read music or play any other instrument.

Once you've figured out the above, then you can decide if you can form a relationship with them.

The BPC is having its annual convention in Australia this year. Banjo players think it's the Banjo Playing Convention. It's only when they get there they find it's the Banjo Penal Colony. Karma - after all they did send us Frank Ifield!! 🤣

Brings back good memories of high school when some of the Bob Marley fans would stand out in the smoking area at school that was outside of the main building. Some had large harmonicas and could play them well. I only wish I could play a harmonica like that.

A friend had a collection of 30 banjos. I said, "You must love banjos!" He replied, "No. I hate them but the more I've got the less people can find and play the bloody things!!"
