Not the best idea, for more than one reason. A woman's purse is one of the main things thieves go for, so, if taken by surprise, the thief not only gets her purse and valuables but her gun as well. Another reason is, if confronted ,a woman reaching into her purse will be perceived by a bad guy that she is going for her gun or some other weapon and it probably won't end well for her. It is better to keep her weapon concealed on her person, so it is a lot easier to conceal her draw, but with the tight clothing that is in fashion, this is not always possible.
