Frightening! Even more so for the next generation.
HeartlessLove · 31-35, M
@Beautywithin its frightening for us, those with any dignity left but these new generations are fearless and their arrogance knows no bond
Coralmist · 41-45, F
To me it is a beautiful world...that is occasionally frightening

@Coralmist There is a lot of beauty in this world, the darkness would love to overcome that and we need to be part of the light that doesn’t allow it to happen.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@SW-User I agree..nature is pure joy.

Coralmist · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti Ty Patti

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Both I’d say. We have it easier in a lot of ways with new technology, labor-saving devices, and transportation going places our ancestors only heard about but couldn’t go unless they were extremely wealthy. We have a lot more options compared to previous generations, it’s easier to do a lot of things than before.
Frightening considering how quick a war or conflict can start, almost all fueled by the entities who profit from them in some way. Weather events have become ever-increasingly frightening. Floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, droughts and heat waves are more extreme. We’ve had a lot of destructive and record-setting strong tornadoes here in my county the last 25 years, always rebuilding and repairing due to it and homeowner insurance rates rising as a result. The stories of how children are being kidnapped and trafficked is frightening. I believe we are living in the age where prophetic events are happening, close to the last days of this era for sure.

@Nimbus There is a solar eclipse on April 8 in the USA that is to be watched and thought to be a foreboding sign of destruction in some way. I have heard that the stock market will collapse in April and that people who own stocks need to get out now while they can. There’s still time.

@cherokeepatti Better to stay in bed!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nimbus Pray to God for protection is what I’ll do, I can pray on my feet and have done that many times in my life so far.

The world is a beautiful place with beautiful people in it. It is our governments creating fictitious situations that make our world frightening.
AbbeyRhode · F
I think both. The natural world is so beautiful, and so amazing. I will never cease to appreciate the wonder of a lovely sunrise, the sound of birdsong, and the perfume of flowers. There is always something new to discover and experience.
What's frightening is the things the people in the world do. They are so cruel to the earth and each other. They create hate, violence, and war with others, instead of loving one another, and caring for the earth, as we were meant to.

@AbbeyRhode I fully agree.

Every day is a challenge, so I consider it an exciting world.

I live in the most boring paradise on Earth (well, next to Belgium maybe).

@Nimbus the rich get richer, the poor go to hell.

SW-User
Both. It's a poorly balanced mix.
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
not exciting anymore, it is a very dystopian scary world now, not 'both' at all.
Nimbus · M
OliRos · 22-25, F
Exciting, sometimes, with occasional episodes of fear.

akindheart · 61-69, F

Lilymoon · F
Frightening since we have the worst leaders ever.

it is both, and also it depends on your perspective. to shift yourself from being frightened to be excited if you've got anxiety issues.
Ontheroad · M
I think we live in a world with so many wonderful possibilities left unfulfilled and too many horrors realized... so for me, our world is a bit frustrating.

I love the world it’s my favourite planet
Not keen on certain kinds of people that’s for sure … the
Strange how there’s one plant for all of us … the good the bad and the ugly
And after all this time … education & evolution
We still can’t all get along
We will always be devided and I wonder what it’s all about in the bigger picture of life

Incredibly exciting
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Madding would be my word
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I would say it depends on your perspective.
The last ten years has shown us how our institutions have continuously failed us as a collective society.
Economically; medically; socially; environmentally etc.
But then, we created the very things that did that.
Once again illustrating man's stupidity in trying to determine it's own evolution for the few rather than the many
