I developed a love of skirts and dresses for a two simple reasons.

I have two older brothers.

If I wore skirts and dresses, no hand me downs ... guaranteed !!!

Also had two grandma's who loved to buy me girly clothes !!!

Yes, I went to religious schools, and we had to wear dresses or skirts. In elementary school, we could wear shorts under our dresses for being on the monkey bars so no one could see up our skirts. 😄

I wore a school uniform that included a skirt. At first they wouldn’t allow shorts even under our skirts, until a couple of the girls started going on the playground gym and hanging on the bars [b]anyway[/b]. The male teachers were uncomfortable enough that the school administrators reversed themselves and let us wear shorts under the skirts.

Mom forced me to wear skirts and dresses on special occations. She still kinda do, actually, but she's starting to accept me wearing pants instead.
