Im sorry.. maybe you could make some suggestions to your father.. say.. dad.. maybe instead of that we can call it.. jug juice.. or titty treat.. i think he'll be receptive. 🤗

It is a terrible nickname, but it makes your dad smile, so....

@nonsensiclesnail no the baby smiles, but the baby is just a baby
nonsensiclesnail · F
@Firestarter exactly.

@Firestarter The baby hears fondness in Grandpa's voice, that's why he smiles. Does it really matter which words he chooses as long as the baby feels loved?

Your dad can stop calling him that when he gets older. For now I agree with your baby :) it is cute.

sure there is no harm in it and your dad means this in it fondest way . but if you find it offensive -perhaps you should have a word [firestarter]

He will invent many new nick names over time, it won't always be Milkbreath. Let Granddad express his love, funny names are part of the deal.👍

Babies don’t know what you are saying, but they do pick up on tones.
Your baby probably smiles because your dad is saying it lovingly and being silly with him

Babies don’t listen to the words they can hear the tones of the voice if your dad is doing it in the cheerful playful way that’s all the baby cares about

I used to laugh at my niece and say
FAT BaBY
And she would giggle!
I stopped when she was two

Sounds like an insult from Skyrim, “milk drinker!”

Bet your dad changes the nick name
bijouxbroussard · F
Maybe not, but I imagine when he’s older, your father will no longer use it. It wouldn’t be relevant as a nickname for an older child. The baby smiles because what he’s hearing is the love behind it, not the words. 😊

Nah it's silly and he knows the baby can't understand it.
