Do you have something in your childhood that you still battle?
Abuse, or trauma, or maybe just one thing someone said that tore you to pieces even to this day.
I have been struggling at life for many years due to. Chronic PTSD. My mom would hit and scream and threaten me or ridicule me, daily. For two decades EVERY day; a monstrous , obnoxious, rageful narcissist bully. Trying to overcome it is arduous because it was the very fabric of my being. Not one family member tried to help, take me away or even console me. It was a hellish dynamic and life.
She'd punish me just for being. For standing there. Saying, People don't want to hear it. Or, "You shut your mouth, who do you think you are?"...
And now as an adult I try to make myself small in any social interaction, never disagree, put others wants before my own, and hope it's enough, to justify me even being there. It has demolished my love life because who could ever truly want or stay with someone this broken with acute anxiety ?
This is just a small space for me to vent rn. I was just feeling overwhelmed at everything I feel I always need to fix about me , in order to maintain any normalcy of being a human being.
Can you identify at all?
