If a fast food cashier said this to you...

What would you do or say?
That you needed to "make your order NOW, " after you said I need a minute to decide..? And they continue, "There's a line, what are you ordering? "

I've never had someone say after TEN SECONDS of arriving, "There's a line what are you ordering? "😮
I got a bit irritated while ordering but still was cordial. But I really need to speak up for myself. Ugh.
What might you have said?

@beermeplease I really need to get some gumption. I'm tired of always accepting others rudeness

What’s your favorite?
There was a post on another site such as ours years ago that I'll never forget because there was one woman who commented - adamantly - that we should know what's on the menu before we get to the damn fast food outlet. I guess that would mean we should go online then write down what we would order when we got there... to the last detail.
@Baybreeze

Don't get me wrong! I agree with you... but that woman on the other post years ago got into it with all of us for not knowing ahead of time what we wanted... but WHY have the menu at all on the drive-thru board?!
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@rinkydinkydoink Exactly. Then no place should ever advertise NEW products on a menu!! That's what I wanted to look at for literally ten seconds...ugh. Or have any menu at all...lol.
@Baybreeze

(I'm chuckling here... it doesn't take much to tick some people off in this crazy world, eh?)
lissah · 36-40, F
I would just let the people behind me go ahead of me. While i made my decision
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@lissah When I said I need just one minute, and you say I need your order NOW ...that's rude, to the customer. And I had not even taken one minute. I wasnt rude back, but I was starting to order, flustered because I didn't have even twenty seconds to look at menu. They lost money too Bec my sister said forget it, I won't order two things just one.
FunnyWaterbong · 70-79, F
@lissah 👍👍 this is what I would do.
lissah · 36-40, F
@Baybreeze i realize she was rude. But im just saying what i would have done.
OKWTF2 · 51-55, M
Hmm, I could only come up with this after the fact, but next time say,
"Fine give me one of everything EXCEPT,
# 1, 2, all the drinks except
You know, if you just give me a fucking moment it might go by faster if you let me decide and just order what I would like instead if going with everything and taking stuff off, but you decide shithead, how are we doing this today?"
snowman65 · 70-79, M
You should not been in laine until you knew what you wanted, If there was a line when you got there you should have desided by the time you got to the front.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@snowman65 I was in a drive through
ABCDEF7 · M
I would ask them to read out the complete menu that they have with their prices. And after they finish, I would be asking again to read out complete menu, this time with the ingredients of every item.
FunnyWaterbong · 70-79, F
I wonder how those people can stand it, working in those places. I am patient to them and go with the flow.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@FunnyWaterbong I am more than patient with anyone always. But I felt bullied, I said I need to look at menu and to say a Second time... I need order Now ?? That's just unbelievable
FunnyWaterbong · 70-79, F
@Baybreeze I understand, but look at the big picture, we don’t know what she’s been through and we’re talking about junk food, not a nuclear war.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
I would have walked out and never returned. Actions speak louder than words.
GoldnJulz · 46-50, F
Just another reason to not eat fast food…
GoldnJulz · 46-50, F
@Baybreeze ps I’m sorry you had to experience that awful and unnecessary event.
GoldnJulz · 46-50, F
@Baybreeze Not that it’s excusable but perhaps they were having an awful day ?? As a customer service representative they should know how to act when helping a customer with their order. If it happens again definitely tell a manager or email/phone call the corporate office
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
@GoldnJulz Facts. The only time I go there is if my daughter wants to. My son, who's in school and 19 mind you, won't even eat that shit.
GoFish · 41-45, F
you didn't bother to decide on your order before you got to the counter?
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@GoFish I was in drive thru, and sometimes occasionally, I need a minute to decide if there's new items
IM5688 · 70-79, M
I would have said, "What's your rush, you're not going anywhere are you?"
thats unhappy cashier playing status games
TurtlePink · F
Remind them that they’re getting paid either way so there’s no need to rush me
"Nothing here, thank you."
romell · 51-55, M
Is anybody complaining
No need to speak at that point, I'd simply turn 180 degrees and walk out of the door I came in through.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
In a word? Bye.

I would have thought about what I wanted while standing in the line. I would feel horrible holding people up. I would have ordered. Sorry
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@Musicman I was in the drive thru.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Baybreeze Were there cars behind you?
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@Musicman Yes but you give a customer one minute to decide if they need that. I had just pulled up and I needed ten seconds to look. I've been in manyyyy lines, and I'd never ever rush a person who needs one minute, to decide. It was ridiculous
