would you feel more comfotable hanging around oboe players or tuba players?

I have seen some very attractive oboe players in symphony orchestras, but I can't say the same about tuba players.

I’ve played in orchestras, so I’ve been around both, but I like oboes a bit better.

why those 2? The comparison would better be piccolos or tubas? Every time i pack up my trombone after band, i say when i come back to life, i will come back as a piccoloist!
